NIVL consists in the delivery of oxygen in the two-level positive airway pressure (BiPAP) mode through a mask that is close to the face. This method reduces the need for tracheal intubation in patients with severe exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cardiogenic pulmonary edema. "
- NIVL (non-invasive ventilation of the lungs) is carried out through a mobile ventilation device, which is used to support breathing and usually runs on a wall outlet or battery. If necessary, it can be moved / transported by placing it under a wheelchair. Bi-phase positive airway pressure ventilation (BiPAP) is a form of assisted ventilation that provides artificial respiration support throughout the respiratory cycle. Inhalation and exhalation pressure support the patient's respiratory efforts. BiPAP there are two pressure modes. This is a constant positive airway pressure or providing constant pressure. The second is a spontaneous mode, a cyclic transition between breathing and exhalation. BiPAP works with breathing masks (non-invasive), but may also appear to be invasive.

High-flow oxygen-air oxygenation (Hi-Flow oxygenation) is intended for patients who require respiratory support combined with oxygen therapy.
